Our practitioners believe that it is a privilege to have the training and experience to work with people across the life span from childhood into adulthood. They share the basic philosophy that the mind has an innate ability to heal itself, that we are who we are and are not defined by our conditions or illnesses, and that with empathic collaboration between the patient and practitioner everyone has a chance to achieve optimal health.
Margaret Harris, PA-C, MPH
As a Physician Assistant, Ms. Harris completed a psychiatry residency at Cherokee Mental Health Institute in Iowa, one of just two psychiatry programs for PAs across the country. She is currently double certified as a psychiatric PA and an addiction specialist, and holds a Master in Public Health from Tulane University, Louisiana. Ms. Harris has a wealth of knowledge in adult, child and adolescent psychiatry, having worked in private and clinic settings as well as having been a volunteer for the Peace Corps. Her treatment philosophy mirrors that of her colleagues at Statesboro Psychiatric Associates in her commitment to provide the best quality care possible to those who need it most, and may not have access to it otherwise. Ms. Harris practiced at Statesboro Psychiatric Associates from 2003-2011 and we are thrilled to have had her return to Georgia and rejoin our team in 2016.
